This six week course provides new users of Ulead's PhotoImpact 8 with a solid foundation in the essentials of using the program, so you can work quicker and smarter. Classes present a broad overview to help you find what you need in the work space, including how to access tools and menu commands easily and efficiently. Students will learn to use PI8's new tools and panels, become aware of changes to established tools and commands, make and manage selections in a variety of ways, create and edit path, image and text objects, save web images optimally, make use of the EasyPalette and custom presets, import new stamps, perform common image editing tasks such as color correction, sharpening focus and removing red eye, make masks, edit frames and create a web page with rollover buttons and formatted text from a UFO web page template.

Students must know how to upload images to their own server and reference them online. If you don't have your own website, you may utilize student upload area on the LVS server. Details will be found in the classroom. Homework must be reviewed by the instructor in order to earn a certificate.

Students are eligible for a 15% discount on any software purchased directly from Ulead. Details will be found in the classroom.
